We read the story about Jesus sharing his
 LAST SUPPER with his friends.

We prayed to God and thanked
Him for Jesus our Saviour.

We prayed for our family and friends.

We shared flat bread and grape juice.

💜GOD LOVES ALL OF US 💜

We have been learning about Holy Week

Jesus washed his friends feet because
He loved them.
We washed each others feet to show that we care and love each other.

The water had lavender oil in it and
it smelt really nice.

You may have noticed two gorgeous
new faces in Room 2.

We have Te Wani 😄
who is Mrs Rihari's nephew.

We also have Miss Tai who will be working in our class until the end of Term 1.
Miss Tai is training to be a teacher and we feel very blessed to have her join our
 Room 2 family.

Welcome to Room 2 Te Wani.
We are so excited to have you join our
 Holy Cross family 😄

The children asked Te Wani lots
of fantastic questions.

Te Wani, you confidently and happily answered all our questions.
We know your favourite colour is RED
your favourite dinosaur is a T.Rex and
you love your mummy a lot 💗

We looked at a palm from Palm Sunday and then we made our own palms for our special
Easter Liturgy this Thursday.

You had fun making palms with your
new friends Callum and Khalid.

Jesus prayed to God and so do we.
Here is a special prayer we have
been learning in class.

We decorated our prayer and then
rubbed it with a tea bag, to make it look
old like a scroll 😃

We are learning about how Jesus
had fun as a little boy.
We think he liked to play hide and seek
and play tag with his friends just like us.

We think Jesus went on
treasure hunts too.
We went on a treasure hunt
around school.

Oops, sorry about the finger in the photo! 😄

We saw treasures we could eat (feijoas),
we heard treasures (birds, children, cicadas, the wind rustling in the trees),
we felt the grass between our fingers  and  found treasures to bring back to class (feathers, bark, leaves, sticks)

In class we put all our treasures together.
Callum had the idea to put all
the treasures in the shape of a cross.
We all thought that was a great idea.
