During Matariki we made
vegetable soup together.

On Friday we had the amazing
Science Road Show visit our school.
We learnt about what living things do and then we had so much fun trying out lots of different experiments.

 Living things move.

Living things breath...what happened to the water when Peyton blew into it?

When Peyton blew into the tube the  Carbon Dioxide in her breath mixed with the chemical in the water.
What happened to the water?

Living things use their senses.
Caitlin is using the sense of touch to decide what would be the best
plate to eat from.

Living things need food and water.

Then we need to excrete what
we don't need!!!!!

This is a human stomach.

 We have a small and
large intestine

We excrete wees...
 and POOP! 💩

All the children thought this was hillarious!!

Let the fun begin...
 Watching what our bones do
when we ride a bike  🚲

One of the kids favourite experiments...
 Watching the balloon shoot up
into the air...

 Kaleidoscope room...
and lots of funny faces 😜

Wriggily Worms

Checking out the insects 🐜🐝🐛

Spinning seat

Illusions...what is sitting on the seat?

Tricky mirrors...

The Spiralling Vortex
was another favourite.

How do bats find their food?

 Phases of the moon

Back to the balloons...

Lots of other things to explore!

Back at the balloons...
